If you’ve shown up this year at the docks for the Port Robinson Ferry, known locally as Bridge-it, you already know, possibly to your great consternation, that it isn’t open yet.
At the last Council meeting, staff were asked when it would be open, as the ferry usually goes into service at the end of April or the beginning of May. Acting CAO Dilwaria replied that the reason for this year’s delay is the construction on the ramps to the docks to make them more accessible. That’s if the weather allows the work to proceed as scheduled. Councillors asked that signs be posted to let ferry users know.
Just today, the attached news release came from the City, asking that it be circulated.
