The annual Thorold BIA Car Show took place on Saturday in spite of rain threats, maybe a bit surprising considering the normal skittishness of classic car owners to have their valuable cars out in inclement weather. But, appear they did, filling Front Street from Clairmont almost all the way to Regent. As soon as the first raindrops fell, starting just after 12:30, however, they formed a pretty steady stream, leaving to get under cover. Directors and staff of the Thorold Credit Union also were out as they do every year to BBQ up hot dogs and hamburgers to steady lines of customers, for whatever they deigned to contribute, proceeds going to Community Care.
